No matter which option is selected Comprehensive guides and supports you to set up the program safely and efficiently. We are committed to safety and exceed regulations every day. Our policies and procedures, our technical support, and our training promote a high level of operation from opening day on. There are 800 hospital-based programs nationwide and only 10% of them are accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Society. Our program is designed to pass that survey when your facility is able to apply.
Our commitment to the hyperbaric community is strong. Comprehensive is a Corporate Member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine. All our staff members are trained in HBO and are certified. Everyone is a member of the UHMS. Our Vice President of Hyperbaric Services, Mario Caruso, CHT, DMT-A is a Member at Large of the Associates and a facility surveyor for the accreditation survey. As a firefighter and fire inspector he contributes his vast experience to the Hyperbaric/Hypobaric Standards Committee of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) which sets the fire protection rules for hyperbaric programs nationwide. Our Vice-President of Clinical Services, Kim Yerkes Simonson, RN-BC, CHRN, CWS is also a trained surveyor with the UHMS promoting a seamless collaboration between wound care and HBO.
